Levels & castles.
Every level documented in the public changelog — what makes each layout play differently, and which strategies thrive on each.
Standard castle Confirmed
The default level new players start with. Six-column board, standard swap economy, dragons attack from below and approach the castle at the top. Boss dragons (Mother) appear on day 10, day 20, and every ten days after. This is the level all the basic strategies assume per CrazyGames listing.
Lanes Castle Confirmed
Distinguished by separate lanes that dragons travel down. Strategy shifts toward concentrating firepower per lane rather than wide coverage. Mentioned in the developer changelog as "New level playable soon: Lanes Castle" per towerswap.app/news.
Alone Castle Confirmed
The developer’s self-described "most hated level ever" — a level where you are placed in a single tile on the board and must defend from that position per towerswap.app/news. Plays radically different from the standard layout; most players treat it as a curiosity rather than a high-score venue.
Poor Castle Confirmed
Originally a war (weekend tournament) level. The distinguishing feature: no treasure chests appear on the board. That means no extra swaps from match-3 gold tiles — you play entirely from your starting swap pool. Move efficiency becomes the only thing that matters per towerswap.app/news.
Cannons Castle Confirmed
A specialty level where high-tier cannons can score 4000 and 5000-range totals — the developer added this score band specifically for Cannons Castle per towerswap.app/news. Layout favors row-clearing weapons, so cannons (which can hit an entire row) become the dominant choice. Pure cannon builds are the established meta here.
Isle Castle Confirmed
Added in a 2021-era update per towerswap.app/news. Geographic features (water, ledges) constrain where defenses can be placed and where raw resources can be tossed off the edge. Layout details vary; full analysis is WIP.
Quake Castle Confirmed
War-only level introduced in a 2026 update per towerswap.app/news. Specifics not yet publicly documented; full strategy WIP.
War & weekend levels Player-reported
Weekend battles run global tournaments on rotating levels — the same level for every player in that war week, scored on a leaderboard. Wars are clan-based: your clan competes against another clan, and your score adds to your clan’s total per towerswap.app changelog. Wars pair clans by the number of active players, and only those active players are counted toward the war.
Common war level pool includes Poor Castle, Quake Castle, and others. The specific rotation changes; check in-game on Friday evening for that weekend’s level.
Levels not yet documented WIP
Tower Swap receives monthly updates and frequently adds levels. Levels mentioned in the changelog whose specifics we have not yet confirmed: Lavish Castle (gold-mine themed), levels with 100 swaps on day 1 then castle closes daily, additional war-only castles. If you have detailed observations of any of these levels, that data would be welcome for future updates.
